Publishing a series of newsletters for your opt-in list subscribers provide many benefits in terms of sending traffic to your website as well as increasing the sales and profits of your online business. This is an Internet marketing method that will not hugely affect your marketing budget and will not also require a lot of time in developing this project.
With a newsletter, you can tell the public about your online business, your products and services. You can send them useful information and tips that they are always looking as well as many of your promotions and offerings. Doing these, you keep on reminding your subscribers that you are still here and is willing to offer them helpful information, good deals and services.
Newsletters also enable you to impress your subscribers. It can show your expertise and knowledge about the topic at hand and the many benefits you can offer them. When you impress people, they will begin to trust you and possibly become your customers. Another great thing is that they can recommend you to their friends, colleagues and family. All of them could very well be customers in the future.
If you do not publish a newsletter for your website, then you may consider about researching and be well informed on how to create and publish one. It is not as easy as it seems but if and when you get the right idea and process, it will be smooth sailing from there on. Try to take the time to learn what you need to learn and get that newsletter ready and good to attract subscribers to your newsletter as well as traffic to your site.
In the next few paragraphs, I will provide you with some things to reflect on when you decide to start your own newsletter for your site. Here are five things to consider when publishing a newsletter.
1) Make sure that the content of your newsletter pertains to and closely associated with your business or the theme of your site. Do not dwell too far on what could be regarded as your field of expertise. You have started a site and your theme for your site will always be something you are knowledgeable about. For example; if you have a site that sells auto car parts, your newsletter must contain articles or content like photos that pertain to cars, auto parts and such. You may also include content about your company and your staff.
Remember that visitors of a certain site are there because they are interested in what the site has to offer. If they sign up for an opt-in list or for a newsletter this means that they want to be updated for that certain theme or subject. Be sure that when you publish your newsletter you are providing for the need of the subscriber as well as their interests.
2) Ensure that you have well written, information riddled and content rich articles. You articles will be the body of your newsletter and that they should be able to excite your readers as well as provide information. Articles should be well written and checked for errors such as spelling and grammatical errors for it to look professional and believable. The trust of your client to you and newsletter is at stake here.
3) Fact-check your articles. Make sure that you provide true facts and figures so that your reputation as an expert and knowledgeable in that field is not questioned. If you lose the trust of your subscribers these may persuade them to unsubscribe to your newsletter. You will lose many potential sales this way.
4) Provide fresh and new articles that can provide new information to your subscribers. If you publish stale and old news in your newsletter, there is a tendency that people or your subscribers already have read and known about them. This will lose their interest in your newsletter and they wont get to read what is most important, your ads. They may not open or read any of your succeeding newsletters losing your intention in writing and publishing newsletters, to get them to visit your site and make a purchase.
5) Never use copyrighted materials such as photos and articles. This is outright plagiarism, you may get into a lot of trouble for this. You can lose your business and get sued over copyright infringement. If you do not have the time to write your own articles, there are many willing and able professional article writers that can do it for you for a reasonable fee. All your investment in writing and publishing articles will be well worth it when you see your list build up and your traffic increasing.
Mike Liebner from ArticleUnderground.com has posted a new 3 part video series that talk about building quality links for your website to get free search engines traffic that are highly convertible to profit. You can find the video at:

The videos run 1 hour and 6 minutes and are filled with information that I think you'll find useful for you when doing web marketing or building a Internet business.
Ads-Click PPC advertising network isn't popular as Google AdSense and Kontera ContentLink.
But it can be another good money maker for web publishers and bloggers as publishers who display ads-clicks ads will earn 80% advertising revenue share which is higher than any other PPC revenue-sharing ads networks.
Publishers is free to select the keywords that best match their visitors interest and Ads-clicks will automatically display the highest paid PPC text ads based on the keywords selected to maximized publishers earning.
Ads-Click tends to give more options to publishers in term of text ads format selection. Publishers have the flexibility to choose from IAB banner ads, Tag Clouds, Inline Text Links, for displaying on their sites and blogs.
IAB
IAB banner ads is very similar similar to Google AdSense ads and they can be customized for ad size, background, header, text colors, keyword color, and mouse-over color.
Tag Clouds
Tag Clouds display a list of keyword tags with different size reflects popularity. Here's a screenshot of Ads-Clicks Tag Clouds.
Inline Text Links
The system will convert the relevent keywords in your content into Ad-Clicks double-underline text links and when a visitor point the mouse to a Ad-Clicks double-underline link, an ads will show up.
How to Use Ads-Click to Increase Your Online Revenue
The more advertising programs you use on your site or blog, the more revenue sources you'll have. Ads-Click IAB banner is too similar to AdSense, so it cannot be used together with AdSense. But their Inline Text Links can become another source of your online revenue besides AdSense as they have no conflict with AdSense policies. But if you have been using AdSense and Kontera ContentLink on your blog then Ads-Clicks Tag Clouds may be a good combination to this 2 Ads programs.

Autorepsonders, Web Hosting, Merchant Accounts, Affiliate Management Tools. If you think you know the answers, you may be surprised.
Why write? Good question. Some people write for the sheer joy and others write only to earn. Some others enjoy writing with a passion and monetize on their source of joy. This is the best way of earning money, doing something you love.
Writing is huge business. You will understand what I am saying, if you look at New York Times bestseller list. Those people make tons of money. I am definitely not suggesting that you are going to make fortune writing, but if you write well and follow a marketing plan, I don’t see why you can’t earn a full time income online only with writing.
There are several means of earning with writing, writing for companies, freelancing, and writing for yourself.
Writing for companies
The upside of writing for others is that it IS paid for. You will never have to bother about visitors going to your website and buying your product. You are paid upon delivering the article. Writing for companies entails constant work, but many companies pay within one week to two weeks.
Here is a list of genuine companies that pay for your writing.
Associated Content
This is one of the easier sites to submit your articles. You get paid in the range of $3 - $40 per article. You will be able to make a lot of money if you write on topics that are in demand. They have a help section explaining how to go about this.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/
SSWUG
You can register with them for free. You will be in the ‘guest status’. This status is enough for you to make money with them. You don’t have to upgrade to full membership, as it is not required for submission of articles. They pay a minimum of $20 per article and even more if you write on any premium topic. You even get royalties on your articles if they become popular and have more page views. Although it is slightly hard to get approval, it is worth getting into if you are approved.
http://www.sswug.org/
Jungle Page
This is an online resource center for students and they accept articles on a wide range of subjects. You will be asked to submit a sample article of three pages listed there, to get approval. It is not difficult to get approval and once you do, they employ you and you can make money. Be careful with quality, as they are one of the better money makers. They are free to join. Their business is seasonal and you get lots of work before graduation, from April to June.

Write For Us
This is serious money for you. There is a CATCH. They have very limited topics you can write on. This is for people who have enough knowledge about computers. That shouldn’t be a problem for you as you are already working on one. The topics range from programming to search engine optimization. They pay high rates and they need a minimum 1500 word articles, unlike other sites that look for 500 word articles. This is a goldmine for tech-savvy writers, as you can earn some serious money. It is free to join.

POEWAR
You don’t have to register here. Just check out the job listings. It is difficult to get work here, unless you are top-notch, but just one job can get you anywhere between $150 to $300, and may take from a day to a couple of days to complete.
http://www.poewar.com/freelance/
This should certainly be enough to get you started with writing for companies. Let’s take a look at freelancing too.

Being a Freelance Writer
There are several freelancing writing jobs on the internet. Individual people are always looking for writers for their projects. Some of the projects pay good money, others not much. It is up to you to decide which projects you accept and which you’ll pass on.
Then there are projects you have to bid on. It means people post an offer at places like Elance.com and the person who bids the lowest usually is given the contract, though it is not always so. Getting into a bidding war probably won’t be worth the price of the project being paid.
Here are a few places you can look for freelance work:
- Bidding - Elance is a bidding site where you will find several postings for and the advertiser has the option to choose from the bidder he sees as best, could be because of low rates or quality. www.elance.com.
- Market Places - There are market places like digital point and sitepoint where you can get work without bidding and by just advertising. Here are the links - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/, www.sitepoint.com.
Get paid for blogging
You can also get paid for blogging. They are plenty of advertisers like to pay bloggers for writing and posting a review about the advertisers products and services on their blogs. Some of them pay well.
Here are some resources where you can get paid for blogging. Check out http://loudlaunch.com, http://bloggerwave.com, http://payu2blog.com, http://smorty.com, http://www.reviewme.com, http://payperpost.com/
Alternatively, bigger money is in writing for yourself, that calls for another topic altogether. You can write for yourself and earn though creating websites and promoting them with articles and selling affiliate products, selling your own ebooks, selling article packages and numerous other ways.
Writing can prove to be very profitable if you only know how. The primary factor to be taken into consideration is your writing skill. Most of us are not born writers but we can always strive to be the best and provide quality. High quality attracts high pay.
AdSense Blog has posted a good news about Google AdSense program today. In the coming weeks, Google AdSense will be launching a new feature allowing publishers to manage their AdSense ad units inside their AdSense account.
With this new feature, you will be able to change your AdSense ad units (such as colors, channels and borders) that display on your site or blog within your AdSense account. This mean that you'll no longer need to copy and paste your AdSense code to your pages every time you made changes to your AdSense setting (colors, channels and borders). All you need is few clicks of mouse inside your account and you'll see your ads changes take place on your site or blog.
The new feature is created to help save your time and let you optimize your AdSense ads more easier. As mentioned in AdSense blog, the feature will be rolling out in phases in the next few weeks and another post will be updated at that time to explain how to use the feature.
Not much resources are released this week, I just able to post two here.

You have got a topic idea for your ebook creation. You did research to find out the market demand of the niche topic. Then you gathered all the information needed for your ebook creation project and start writing your e-book by yourself or by a freelancer writer you hired. After weeks of work, your e-book finally completed and can be sold online. And now the question is how to sell your ebook on the net. To start selling your ebook, there are few things you need to set up:
Domain name and web hosting
You'll need some web space for your ebook. You can either pay a host or you can get free hosting
service but I recommend you pay for web host as free hosts usually have a number of downsides like place ads on your sale page, don't allow you use your own domain name and other rules. You definitely can add you domain name to your paid web hosting. When purchasing a domain name, try to register a domain name to match the title of your ebook or the name of your business easily through any number of services. Some of the quality web hosts you can consider are Godaday.com and bluehost.com.
Designing your page
Next, you'll want to get your page set up. You can hire this out - there are literally thousands of web designers out there - you'll pay one to two hundred for help with a page or two. Here are some of places you can find for a professional web designer:
Guru.com
Elance.com
Rentacoder.com
Format your ebook
There are two common ebook formats, EXE and PDF. These formats refer to the type of electronic file your ebook will be. One type has .exe after the filename, and the other has .pdf after the filename.
I recommend the .pdf approach for several reasons. First, of the two options, .pdf results in a smaller file. This will allow buyers to have a faster download of your book. Secondly, .pdf files can be read easily with free software on either a PC or a Mac. Thirdly, .pdf conversion software is not terribly expensive and there are even free versions you can use.
One free, ad-free, basic converter is the create Adobe pdf online service directly from Adobe, the father of .pdf generators and readers.
Get ready to accept credit cards
By and large, your ebook buyers will want to pay by credit card. After all, the benefit of ebooks is that they are terribly easy to get. Just type in your credit card number and in a few moments you're reading through a great book!
Paypal is one of a common payment processor that lets your visitors to purchse securely using their credit cards. You don't Pay upfront fee to Paypal for using their services but they will charge you a small percentage every time you receive money.
Create a great sales letter for your book
The web page for your ebook should contain a sales letter that is immediately visible. In fact, your web page really doesn't need to contain much else, unless you choose to use additional pages for other uses.
Here are the components of a great sales letter:
- A catchy headline.
- A list of amazing benefits for the reader. Tell visitors what problems your ebook solves or how it will improve their lives.
- Testimonials. Quotes from people who have read the book or from people who know you and are willing to write something great about you for your site.
- A guarantee.
- A link to a sample chapter.
- A link to purchase the ebook.
- The price. Going rates are $5.95 to $19.95.
- About four pages in length.
- A narrow page with wide margins for easy reading.
- Dark text on a white or light-colored background, for easy reading.
Upload your information to the web
You'll want to upload all relevant ebook information onto your web page, including your ebook cover art, the ebook itself, a link to order and pay for your ebook, and your sales letter.
To upload from your computer to the World Wide Web, you'll need an FTP program. Most web host services will provide you with the software required to do this and provide clear instructions. If your service doesn't provide you with FTP help, you can purchase or use a free FTP program such as the one at www.ipswitch.com. Software that web designers tend to use generally comes with FTP capability.
Agilesoftwaredevelopment.com is looking for one more author to write about agile methods for the blog. You don't have to have practical experience with agile methods to apply for the position. However, having practical software development experience in a team would be a definite plus.
More details about this blogging position:
1. $50 per month. Payment made by Paypal only.
2. 10 blog posts per month with minimum 300 words length.
3. After three months, the author will be entitled to a profit share. Most probably in the form of AdSense revenue sharing.

An opt-in list can be quite crucial to any site or internet based company. Even for a small venture such as a niche profit site an opt-in list can make a world of difference and also add some extra income for your pocket. Rarely would you see an e-commerce site, big or small, that is without an opt-in list.
An opt-in list allows for a company to market their wares and site via an e-mail. With an opt-in list, a site and a subscriber consents to sending and receiving a newsletter from your company. Through this, you can keep your subscribers abreast of what is currently available in your site as well as whatever is coming out.
And because there is mutual consent between the two parties, any mail sent to the list is not considered as spam mail. There is a great number of successfully read promotional materials such as catalogs, newsletters and such that are sent because the subscribers themselves have signed up for them, meaning, they do want to be sent those items.
Building a list is crucial, only a small percentage actually subscribes for an opt-in list. Many people find promotional mails annoying but of you provide a good newsletter or promotional material, you will see your list build up and grow. You can also achieve this by having good content on your site. If people like what they see and read on your site, then they surely would want more. Newsletters would be a way to attract them back to your site. A little teaser or appetizer if you will.
But other than marketing your wares and your services, an opt-in list can also be used to earn extra profit. Not all lists can be used though. It would be good to first build a successful list with a huge number of subscribers. The more subscribers you have, the more money you can get. Here are seven ways to make money using nothing more than your list.
1) Place advertisements. There are many corporations who will be willing to pay to put their banners and ads on a list with many subscribers. Selling or renting out lists is not a good idea so rather than doing that, many companies would just rather place ads with lists that have a huge subscriber base. Your newsletter could be placed with many ads and each one spells money.
2) Have affiliations with other companies that have at least a semblance or relation to what your site is about. Here other companies will provide links and brief descriptions of what they offer, products and services. With every click made on the link that directs or leads a subscriber from your list to their site, the company will pay you. This P4P or pay for performance.
3) Make deals with other companies by asking for a small percentage of sales done through your list. With every sale done by customers that have come from your list and have gone there because of your newsletter, the other company will pay you a small percentage of your sales. The more people who buys from them, the more earnings you get.
4) You may also get products from other sites on a consignment basis and sell them to your list via your newsletter. Place descriptions, articles and photos of the product in your newsletter. There will be those who will buy from you and when that happens, you can order the product from the other site and sell it to your buyer.
5) Sell e-books or a compilation of your articles on your list. Manuals and how-to articles are in great demand. Many people will be willing to shell out money to gain knowledge about a certain topic and subject. With your existing list trusting your expertise in that area, an e-book could be offered and sold or used as an incentive.
6) Create a network out of your list. Get people to invite more people to view your site and subscribe to your list. The larger your list is, the more people will be able to click on your links and affiliate links as well as make your advertisement rates higher.
7) Subscribers are willing to pay for information if they know that it can be trusted and relied upon. Use your list to get more and more people to subscribe to you as well as browse your site. Lastly, you can use your list to earn money by making them your partners. Your list will be the bloodline of your growth and increase.

You’ve made the decision! You want to start earning a living on the internet. But you know nothing about the ways and means of making a living online, as you’ve never done this before. Honestly, you are LOST. You are on your own. There you sit in front of your computer not knowing where to start. You are thinking…
Where do I start???
If you are at the generic starting point, the first thing is for you make a list of your interests and passions. Some of them may be downright silly, but that’s perfectly acceptable. For example, my list would be writing, reading, internet marketing, health, yoga, success, motivation, and animals. I don’t know much about music and that’s okay with me. To succeed in anything in life, being passionate about it is the key. Keep that list aside, you will need it later.
There is more than one way to skin the cat. Let’s first take a look at some common ways of making money on the internet.
Survey Sites
These are silts that give you surveys. If you qualify for a particular survey, you can earn anywhere between $10 to $50 for taking one survey. If you fall in the right demographics, you will be earning at the most a few hundred dollars per month. You will not ever get rich from doing these surveys. Remember, never to pay for any of them.
MLM – Multilevel Marketing
You get people to sign up and they in turn have to do the same. Some of these MLM programs go as deep as 10 levels. Just be cautious with the ones that have no service or product, as they are considered illegal pyramids and will be shut down eventually. These programs, when legit, do work perfectly. You need to get the guidance of a seasoned marketer to understand which ones are good. The earning potential can literally be thousands and millions of dollars per year. The fact is that most people who join these fail. About 5% of people who have success with these programs fall in the income range of below $10,000. Only about 1%-2% make above $10,000/month. Be very cautious because they are not everyone’s cup of tea.
Affiliate Marketing - Selling others products
Selling others products is called Affiliate Marketing and this can be wonderfully lucrative if you have enough time to promote the products. Everything depends on the product and how you advertise. You must ensure you choose a product that people are interested in.
Clickbank is a major company that offers this service. You need to do a lot of research on a product before trying to sell it. There are hundreds of products to choose from. The earning potential with affiliate marketing is unlimited. Just like MLM, most affiliate marketers fail, because they don’t know how to advertise.

If you haven't read part 1 of this article, please click here.
Starting your own business
The potential earnings with your own business on the internet is unlimited. You may make your own ebook, start some sort of a service, or create a software or product and sell it. You will need your own domain, web hosting, and website.
When I am talking about ‘your own business’, I sure don’t ask you to go for anything that is readymade and owned by many others. It is always better to build a product or website from scratch, which belongs to you and you only. If you are not proficient enough, get one made exclusively for you.
Freelancing
Freelancing gives you the freedom to do what you want on the net, and do it the way you wish to. You are your own BOSS. This is not easier than the others, as it involves even more dedication and commitment. If you are creating a website for yourself, its okay if you delay it for some reason. But when working for a client, its definitely NOT okay. You need to be willing to give it your all.
There are several roads you could take if you wish to get into freelancing. Writing, web designing, graphics designing, software development, photography, and anything you can think of. Freelancing pays very well if the quality of your work is good. This calls for a separate topic altogether.
What happened to the list of passions?
Good question! You must be wondering what happened to the list of your favorites that you prepared. I am getting to that. That list is very essential in whatever you choose to do online, especially if you plan on starting your own business and creating a website or even for selling affiliate products. Imagine me creating a website on ‘music’. What would I end up earning. Nothing! I have no idea what I would be talking about and people will see through the façade and leave me without a whisper. The crucial thing is giving valuable information that people are always on the lookout for. Even if you are selling affiliate products, you will be able to do well only if you know what you are talking about. In fact, freelance writing also entails writing on something you enjoy. See, what I mean by ‘passion’!
Within your passions, find a niche through keyword research, that has a lot of monthly searches and does not have a ton of competition. This way you can make a killing when you promote it to the masses.
Programs not worth looking at
Note that I have not talked about paid to read email programs, randomizers, doublers, paid typing companies, selling advertising, etc. because I don’t feel these are worth looking into, as most are scams and it is extremely difficult to weed out the bad from the few genuine ones that exist, unless you are a pro and have been here for a long while.
Well! There you go. The options are in front of you. Which one suits you best? Look at what you are from inside. Your personality, your goals, ambitions, and your passions all play a major role in helping you succeed.
Two interesting programs that you can join and earn some extra cash. Here are they:
Howtodothings.com
This site lets you write articles to share your expertise with the world and make money for each article publishs on Howtodothings.com. Howtodothings.com rewards writers using the 50/50 AdSense revenue-sharing sytem where writers will earn 50% of the AdSense revenue generated by each 'how to' article published by them.
Blogkits.com
Blogkits can provide another source of income to your blog. It is a CPA advertising network that focuses on matching your blog content with the relevant contextual or banner ads. You'll earn money whenever a sale is made from a Blogkits ad that appears on your blog.
One of the good things about Blogkit is that they have no conflict with Google AdSense rules. So you can use Blogkits and AdSense within the same blog page to earn more money online. Also Blogkits has a pay-per-review program where bloggers can join to write honest review of advertisers products and services; and get paid through a cost-per-click model - whenever a unique visitor is sent to the advertiser site from your blog review, you'll make a small amount of click revenue.
When creating products for profit, think about the questions posed by Randy Charack in Chapter 2 of "The E-Code: 33 Internet Superstars Reveal 43 Ways to Make Money Online Almost Instantly---Using Only Email" by Joe Vitale.
"Would you rather pay a little more money and get a lot more? or pay a little less and get a lot less?"
He goes on to explain:
"If the product you are considering buying is designed to make you more money, and you will make a lot more money because of the built-in extras and the added bonuses, you will be happy to pay a little bit more. Right?"
The idea here is based on the following equation:
Respect + Creditibility = Happier Customers & Higher Profits
The easiest way to illustrate this is with a few examples. Consider the following:
Digital Product A
An ebook consisting of a 10 page .exe file (this can only run on a Windows PC and cannot be printed).
Looks like good information with a short sales letter product sells for $27.
Digital Product B
An ebook consisting of a 10 page .PDF file (this can be run on Windows PCs and Mac's)
- 2 additional ebooks illustrating points made in the ebook (value over $100).
- 2 pieces of software that can be used to implement the ideas in the ebook (value over $100).
Which product would you rather purchase? Even if the ebooks are identical, Digital Product B will likely sell a lot more copies, even though the price is higher, because of the perceived value. You are showing your readers respect by providing them time saving extras! You are also saving them money as well.
Of course, your site will also need to establish your credibility by providing testimonials and backing up your major claims, but you would have done this with either product. By adding the element of "Respect" for your customers, you make them happier and earn yourself higher profits in return!
So, how can you apply the equation to your info products? Well, when deciding what product to create and what content to include in the product, remember to show your reader "Respect".
Also remember that you need to add "Credibility" to the equation by providing a sound basis for your assertions in your ebook. You will also want to establish "Credibility" through your presentation of the ebook itself as well as through your website. As an internet marketer, one of the most difficult things to do is coming up with product ideas. If you are new, it is even more difficult as you have no clue where to start or if the idea is going to be a hit.
Here are a few tips that may give you some ideas on how to go about getting new products into the market. If you like an idea, make sure you implement it.
“An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.”~~ Gautam Budha
Problems people face
This is one of the easiest ways of finding out what people are looking for. Go online to observe and understand what problems people are having. Once you identify a problem, think of how you can help solve it. It is easy to find problems on the internet, by checking the various questions and complaints people have. Yahoo answers is one of my favorite places to find what people are looking for. Their questions are your answers.
Following Trends
Trends keep changing. Internet is a fast changing medium where the flavor of the day changes with every passing day. One day it is Britney and the other it is Whitney. In internet marketing, it could be Butterfly Marketing one day and Bum Marketing the other. You need to find ways to capitalize on these constantly changing trends. There is a product you can come up with for every trend. You need to keep pace and watch the market carefully to see what is hot. During the cricket world cup, come up with something related to cricket and watch the sales.
Improve on a product
One of the more easy ways to come up with product ideas is to scrounge the market for products and see how you can improve on an existing product and come up with a better product. This is something that is commonly done but it works each time without fail. You will have to choose products that are in huge demand. With the research for demand being taken care of by someone else, you have conquered 90% of the market, the rest is the 10% you are going to add to the existing product.
Introduce a product in a new niche
This idea entails looking for products in a particular niche. Find a product that is doing great in one niche and introduce a similar one in a different niche where it may be useful too. Of course make sure that it has not been used in the niche before. I am sorry; here you can’t afford to get away from research.
Adding to a physical product
If you are looking at physical products, take an already existing hot product and add things to it. For example, if a certain Golf ball cards are hot, add a Golf ball and a Golf cap or something that is related to it. This mix and match is great and there will be no end to options.
Old product
You may have come across some old products that people have totally forgotten about. You may get that product and see what you can do to make it fresh and invaluable to the existing market, and launch a great comeback. A few latest innovative additions and changes to the product and it is as good as new.
Ask your list
If you already have a list, this tip will help you come up with a new product idea. Ask people that are already on your mailing list, what THEY want. Make sure you are not selling them any product in that mail where you ask them their suggestions. This will make them feel important and trust you well enough to give you great ideas. You’d be surprised at the ideas people come up with. All you need to do is ask them. Who knows, just a single suggestion could be the beginning of a new product.
Combine two products
Take two products and combine them into a single product. Find two products that sort of compliment each other, for example, a budgeter and a planner. If it is an ebook, then make enough changes so that the flow is perfect and it does not look like two pieced thrown together. Once you are through with that, get it packaged attractively.
Surveys
For website owners, it is a good idea to conduct a survey on the website. Ask your visitors what sort of products they would like to see you come up with. This will certainly be a great way to get some product ideas.
New market
Take one of your products, I mean existing products, and find a fresh new market for it. You will have to make enough modifications and add bits and pieces to it, to make it look like a new product to woo the new market. Then repackage it and there you have a brand new product in a brand new niche.
There will certainly be several others, all you need to do is look around and imbibe what is happening and you will find the answers yourself. Where there are questions, answers are found automatically.

Pay per click is a technique of search marketing. If you are thinking of starting a pay per click campaign, you will need to do a bit of research in several areas before even thinking of starting an advertising campaign using PPC. Walking blindly into a PPC campaign can be hazardous to say the least. Doesn’t matter which pay per click service you use, understanding what you are getting into is crucial.
Pay per click search engines are where the advertiser pays money for each visitor that visits his site through the ad that is posted by him. The best part of this kind of advertising is that you pay only if someone clicks on your ad. You will not have to worry about sinking too much money into your advertising campaign.
Generating traffic
It is one of the fastest ways of generating targeted traffic to your website. You may even be lucky enough to have visitors crawling all over your site in just a matter of minutes you start your advertising campaign. From the advertisers point of view, getting traffic to the website is the biggest problem and this is resolved with pay per click advertising.
Targeted traffic
You not only generate traffic, you can target traffic in a particular region of you choice. If you don’t want your ad to be seen by people living in a particular country, say Namibia, you can exclude them. You have options wherein you are allowed to choose the countries where you wish to advertise.
You can also get targeted traffic based on specific keywords and phrases you choose. Searchers or browsers of the internet will be directed to your web page targeted by the keyword phrase they are looking for. You are in fact in a position to pre-qualify your customers even before they visit your website.
Budget control
Pay per click search engines do not charge a fee to run your ad. You can even set a budget of your choice, as low or as high as you wish, to set up an advertising campaign, where the amount of money spent can be controlled, based on the amount you bid on each keyword. Many times, you can get targeted traffic for very less, depending on the keyword phrases used. You are only going to pay when your ad is clicked on.
Tracking
Ability to track the performance of various keywords used in your campaign gives you the advantage of trial testing with different keywords, until you finally achieve success in your campaign. All the details that you ever need to see how your advertising campaign is doing are provided. You have keyword tracking, you can have multiple ads running at the same time and track which ad is doing better, you can pause an ad when you want, and you can check the conversion rates and much more.
Reaching people
Where else can you get the advantage of reaching people in different countries with just a click. If you need to reach people in Indonesia, all you need to do is enable your ad to be seen there and within minutes your ad is within their reach.
Market testing
Another advantage with PPC is that you can test the viability of a market or product. Of course, it goes without saying that the keywords, landing pages, ads etc have to be set up perfectly. If you know what you are doing, it is a great to run test after test and find hot markets and products to move into.
Real time results and modifications
Results are seen in real time and you can monitor them every few minutes to see how you are faring and make changes to your ads as and when you please. This is one of the greatest things about pay per click advertising.
Learn to read between the lines
Understanding the disadvantages of anything will make us appreciate the advantages better. How nice would it be if we lived in a world where everybody was honest and genuine? Well! That’s definitely not so and crime is rampant in everyday life, even online. If you wish to get into the pay per click arena, you need to be well prepared for the shenanigans that you are going to come across.
On the surface, pay per click looks like a great deal and a most effective way of promoting your business, given the wonderfully targeted traffic and the safe way of promotion. After all, the people that are going to your site are people who are interested in your service or product. In theory, this is the way it should work. In reality, things are not as simple as they sound.
False traffic
Pay per click fraud has many twists, but let us discuss a couple of them. The first one is not something most people are aware of. There are sites on the internet that provide what is called, ‘incentive advertising’. They pay people to go to websites all over the internet. This is unfortunately not really targeted traffic because these people are going to these websites only to get their payoff. What makes it far worse is the fact that these people are also paid to go to the sites via pay per click ads. What actually is happening is that people who are running these ads are paying for the clicks, when in reality, this traffic is not real at all.
Bogus clicks
The worst offenders are people who sabotage a pay per click campaign intentionally. They send bogus clicks to a competitors campaign to ruin the click through rate and raise his minimum bids and lower the position for the keywords. This is something that many people resort to.
Pay attention to the number of clicks you get each day. If you suspect fraud, check the IP addresses and see where the clicks are coming from. If you feel that multiple clicks are coming from the same IP, you can report this to the search engine you are running the PPC ad with. Knowing what to look out for helps you take control before too much damage is done.
Traffic to other’s sales pages
Search engines like Google are upsetting advertisers because of their rule of not allowing sending customers to a sales page that is not yours. For affiliates who used to send people to other’s products, this is a big blow. Imagine having your own sales page for every affiliate product you promote. If you do that, you will be penalized heavily.
If you are going to run a pay per click campaign, make sure you check out the intricacies. Yes, pay per click works wonderfully in getting quick results in a short time. But it only works for those that are cautious and continuously monitor their campaigns for even the finest detail.

In the online world of business, an autoresponder can do a lot for your company. Also referred to as mailbots, email and on demand, and automatic email, these tools can help you put your business on autopilot and spend more time doing other things. Autoresponders are great to have, as they are designed to automatically respond to any email they receive with an instant response.
Over the years, autoresponders have increased quite a bit in popularity. They are best known for their automatic email responses, which will save you a lot of time. By using one of these programs, you won’t have to spend countless hours answering emails again. You can feel free to do other things and always know that your customers have access to the information they need anytime they want it.
To set your business on autopilot, all you need to do is get your copy ready and load it into your autoresponder. Once a potential buyer or current customer sends your autoresponder address a message, the information he or she is seeking will automatically be delivered to them. Autoresponders are very quick – delivering information via email in a matter of seconds.
Autoresponders can also help you send out free courses, articles and information, reports, information regarding your products and services, price lists, welcome and thank you letters, confirm orders, and tell others about your advertising rates. You can preset information such as this into your autoresponder, so it will automatically send the information out whenever someone requests it.
Unlike mass email messages, autoresponders can be set up to your specifications. You can send personalized messages with them as well, which will make your client feel as if the email was made specifically for him. Autoresponders will also follow up with emails as well, to ensure that you get a sale. The better autoresponders out there will notify you each and every time someone has requested your information, so you know when you have potential customers.
You can also update your autoresponder messages anytime you wish. From time to time as you get new products or information to send to your clients, you can update your log. When running a business, it’s very important that you keep your customers up to date. This way, your customers will know that you have new products available and ready for purchase. If you have a good relationship with them, they will be anticipating your new offers.
If you run a business over the Internet, an autoresponder can make life a lot easier. You can let your autoresponder handle a majority of the tasks, including technical support and sending out information about your company and your products. These days, autoresponders are the best tools for online business – as they give you plenty of free time for other things.

eBay Money Making Tips: How Important is Your eBay Reputation to Your eBay Success
Your eBay reputation is almost everything you are on eBay - without it, you will find profiting on ebay very difficult. Your reputation is worth as much as every sale you will ever make.
If you've ever bought anything on eBay (and the chances are you have), then think about your own behavior. Buying from a seller with a low feedback rating makes you feel a little nervous and insecure, while buying from a PowerSeller with their reputation in the thousands doesn't require any thought or fear - it feels just like buying from a shop.
A Bad Reputation Will Lose You Sales
In fact, a bad reputation will lose you almost all your sales. If someone leaves you negative feedback, you will feel the pain straight away, as that rating will go right at the top of your user page for everyone to see. Who's going to want to do business with you when they've just read that you "took a month to deliver the item", or that you had "bad communication and sent a damaged item"? The answer is no-one.
Your next few items will need to be very cheap things, just to push that negative down the page. You might have to spend days or even weeks selling cheap stuff to get enough positive feedback to make anyone deal with you again.
It's even worse if you consistently let buyers leave negative feedback - once you get below 90% positive ratings, you might as well be invisible.
You Can't Just Open a New Account
Besides eBay's rules about only having one account, there are far more downsides than that to getting a new account. You literally have to start all over again from scratch.
You won't be able to use all the different eBay features. Your existing customers won't be able to find you any more. Your auctions will finish at a lower price because of your low feedback rating. Opening a new account is like moving to a new town to get away from a few people who are spreading rumors about you: it's throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
A Good Reputation Will Get You Sales
When a PowerSeller tells me something, I tend to believe them. They can be selling a pretty unlikely item, but if they guarantee it is what they say it is, then I trust them - they're not going to risk their reputation, after all. This is the power of a reputation: people know you want to keep it, and they know you'll go to almost any lengths to do so.
This is true even to the point that I would sooner buy something for $20 from a seller I know I can trust than for $15 from someone with average feedback. It's worth the extra money to feel like the seller knows what they're doing, has all their systems in place and will get me the item quickly and efficiently.

How to Build Visibility and Creadibility for Yourself that are Important for Your Online Business Success
Reputation counts in online business marketing. There are tons of e-entrepreneurs, webmasters, Internet marketers and affiliate marketers out there but the ones who make the big bucks online are the ones who have established high visibility and great credibility for themselves.
Establishing credibility and visibility go hand in hand and establishing both are critical to your success and your victory over your competitors. Credibility and visibility can be established in several ways:
Writing and marketing articles related to your product
You need to become the guy or the gal that others go to when they need information or need questions answered. Writing articles (or having them written for you by a ghost writer) is one of the very best ways of establishing your reputation as a person who has answers.
Articles that you write or have written for you by a ghost writer will be uploaded into article banks for other website owners of E-zine publishers to download and reproduce free of charge. At the bottom of each 400-1,000 word, key-word rich article you will include a resource box that has your name and your website address in it. This helps to spread your name and news of your knowledge around the Internet to those who are the most likely to be your customers.
Creating and marketing your own e-books
E-Books should only be 10 to 12 pages long but a link to your website needs to be included on every single page as well as in the resource box at the end. E-Books are uploaded to E-Book repositories where others may download them and reproduce them just like articles.
Because it is required that E-Books cannot be altered and that resource box information must be included when E-Books are downloaded and reproduced, your reputation as an expert in your field will be enhanced each time anyone chooses to use them.
Posting to blogs and forums
Another way to build your visibility and your credibility on the Internet is to post to blogs and forums that have topics related to the products and services which you sell. It is a very simply matter to find these forums and blogs. Simply type your related key word into the search box of your favorite search engine followed by the plus sign (+) and the words blogs or forums. You will get many hits.
Choose the three or four of the ones that have the largest number of active members and join those blogs or forums. Be careful here. Posting to blogs and forums effectively is going to take several hours of your time every week so don’t choose too many.
Once you have joined three or four blogs and forums do not go in with guns blazing posting blatant advertisements. The idea here is to build visibility and credibility. Introduce yourself and behave as though you had just moved into a new neighborhood. Your signature tag that appears at the bottom of each and every post that you make should have your name as well as a link to your website.
It takes time to build your visibility and credibility. While you are building them, you will also be promoting and selling products and services and you want to establish a good relationship with those who buy products and services from you. Be sure that you provide good information, good service and a guarantee if one applies.

Freelance Money Making Tips: What does It take to Succeed as an Online Freelancer (Part 1)
A career in freelancing can be scary, yet challenging, especially for those that are starting out. What does it take to be a successful freelancer? Apart from the skill set one possesses, it takes a sense of timing, meeting deadlines, and time management. It is not as hard as it sounds.
There are several forums on the net that can help you springboard into a freelancing career. A new freelancer can join a couple of them and get actively involved and learn from those that are more experienced and you will get great advice and huge amounts of information on freelancing. These will help you create a portfolio, find the first project, finding information, and other areas.
Get a contract
Get that contract done now. Does not really matter if the client is your dearest friend; you are in business. Be a professional to the core. Make Santa sign a contract if he is your client (it is that important). It is really not very difficult to get a contract. Check out the web and you will find free templates and see what fits your needs, read them a number of times before finalizing, so that there are no loopholes.
Professional approach
The first thing that is required is a professional outlook towards the whole aspect of freelancing. Do not jump into anything and everything that is posted, as that is what most new freelancers do. This sort of excitement doesn’t do any good. It is a good idea to always check and do a little research on whether those people are good to work for. When answering an ad for a project, any reply to an ad is professional. There should be no slang and no laid back attitude. When they reply back, continue to be professional in your correspondence and make sure they state what exactly the work is and when it will be paid for and what the other terms and conditions are.
Be organized
Make sure you are organized even before getting into freelancing. You will have to organize your life as well as your work. Learn to live on the edge, to live up to deadlines, and live on schedule. This certainly does not mean you lose your freedom, it only means you earn more money and have more time for yourself. Make life easier on your and keep your desk free of clutter. Buy the required office supplies like post-its and keep reminders. Freelancing means being your own boss and that means organizing oneself for better results.
Quality
Quality consciousness is an issue in which there are no two ways. Maintaining quality so that the client is satisfied is of utmost important. By turning in work that is not great, a freelancer is bringing their reputation down. For a freelancer, their reputation is their prize and everything possible should be done to keep it spotless. This reputation for providing good quality work will keep projects rolling and new opportunities will raise their heads without having to search for them. Give 120% to your clients and you will reap the rewards.

In case you haven't read part 1 of this article, please click here.
Client relationships
This is almost like romance. If you don’t nurture your relationship properly, there is a chance of losing your loved one (in this case, your client) to others. If you let your relationship with your client get stale, your client will start looking at others who are more attractive. In case of a freelancing career, attractiveness stems from being quick in turnarounds, competitive rates, friendly nature, and prompt correspondence.
There are a few things a freelancer needs to do to keep the client relationships alive and fresh. Make sure to ask your clients for suggestions on how to improve your services. This shows your client that you respect their wishes and consider them important enough to take their opinion, and wish to provide the best service possible to them. It would be good to offer long-standing clients discounts every once in a while, could be on a special occasion or something. If your clients have other needs, make sure you guide them to other professionals that can help them with their needs.
In some cases, where the client is truly worthy and valuable to your freelancing career, you may wish to take your relationship offline by having a phone conversation with them. This makes most clients very comfortable. If they wish to call you, let them. Be there for them 100% of the time. You must act more like a consultant to your client rather than a freelancer. It’s important to have clients but more important to have happy clients.
Backup policy
There are times when you may not be able to work or complete important assignments due to illness or some emergency, like being abducted in a spaceship. Client is not going to bother about all that if this job is urgent for him. You can find people you know and trust can do as good a job as you and get the work done by them. You don’t actually have to get them to connect with your client, if you are afraid they may take your place. You can get the work done by them and send it to your client. A backup policy is a must.
Being firm and assertive
We did talk about catering to the client and keeping them satisfied. This sure does not mean letting them trample all over you. You are a freelancer who provides services and have many clients that need to be taken care of. Let nobody command you or demand things from you. A request is acceptable but not a demand. It is important to remember that a freelancer is not an employee to the client. The beauty of freelancing is to be able to get away from bossy employers and do things your way. Being firm yet professional and nice is the way to go about it. You do not need to work under pressure. You should also be ready to fire your difficult clients.
Word hard
Working hard is the key to being successful. Take enough rest, get enough sleep and that will increase your productivity, but do not let yourself taking more rest than work, that makes you lazy. You cannot get anywhere with that kind of attitude. Work as hard as you can and achieve what you set out to. Eat healthy and make sure you do not fall sick. This may seem like frugal advice to you but rest assured this is almost at the top of the to do things before getting into a freelancing career.
Get going right now. Freelancing is scary if you are not willing to give it your best, if you are not willing to follow the advice given above. If you have the right mind set and the attitude that you are willing to go to any extent to give the best to your client, this career is for you and the most lucrative. Being your own boss is the most blessed thing. Get prepared with all the ammunition that is required and you will be a very successful freelancer.

Craigslist Advertising Tips: Reaching a Target Audience through Craigslist
The key to any successful Internet marketing campaign is reaching a target audience. Craigslist reaches a large audience but the size of this audience may not exactly translate to the advertiser being able to reach members of their target audience. There are, however, ways to help advertisers reach their target audience through Craigslist. This article will discuss how the discussion forums and the search feature can both be utilized to find the target audience.
Find the Target Audience in Discussion Forums
The discussion forums featured on Craigslist provide an excellent opportunity for users to find their target audience. This is important because misdirected advertising that does not reach the target audience is useless. Advertising on Craigslist is free but this does not mean business owners have nothing to lose by advertising on Craigslist without doing market research first. Time, energy and other resources can all be wasted when care is not taken to reach the target audience.
Visiting the discussion forums allows an Internet marketer to reach the target audience by providing insight into the members of the community and what they are looking for in products and services. Through visiting these forums, advertisers can simply lurk and take careful note of the ensuing conversations. This can provide a great deal of insight into the thoughts of the target audience including information on how to win over this audience. Advertisers who actively participate in these forums can further capitalize by engaging members of the community in conversation and soliciting feedback from them. All of this information can be used to target advertising specifically to the members of the target audience.
Use the Search Feature to Find the Target Audience
The search feature on Craigslist can also provide valuable insight which can help advertisers to locate their target audience. Advertisers can start this process by entering keywords related to their products or services to search in various sections of Craigslist. During this time, take note of competitors’ advertisements which are returned during these searches and the sections in which these advertisements are placed. If competitors’ advertisements appear in sections which appear logical, it might be worthwhile to consider placing your own advertisements in these sections to ensure target audience members find your advertisement when searching these sections.
Next carefully examine all advertisements by competitors. Pay particular attention to the keywords used in the advertisements. This is important because savvy Internet marketers recognize the need to optimize their advertisements for the same keywords being used by competitors. Failure to do so may result in potential customers only viewing the competitors’ advertisements when searching for these particular keywords.

How to Use Information as a Marketing Tool for Your Affiliate Marketing Business
No matter what product or service you choose for your affiliate marketing business, you need to give people information about it so that they can make a purchase decision. No one is going to buy a product without knowing how it works and what it will do for them.
Using graphic images and flashy headlines no longer satisfies the savvy Internet buyers. For those individuals who shop online regularly, they have long since come to understand the dynamics of the electronic marketplace. Promoting a product or service by virtual of a low price alone won’t work either, because the marketplace is global and the competition is such that some merchants will sell an item at an incredibly cheap price.
The truth of the matter is that it takes a combination of factors to find, retain and service customers. And the greatest challenge that everyone who is working online has to face is how to build trust in the hearts and minds of the people who need your products or services.
Focus on providing content needed by your targeted visitors
One of the approaches to build trust with your potential buyers is focus your attention on defining your niche on the Internet, and then work toward becoming the source of information that is relevant to all of the people in that niche. Just like dictionary.com, if people need to know the definition of a word, they are more likely to go back to Dictionary.com because they know they will find the information they are looking for there. By providing your targeted visitors with quality content they are looking for. You will attract your visitors come back to your affiliate websites and probably obtain some bona fide paying customers for your affiliate marketing products and services.
Establish trust in your product using newsletter
Newsletters and e-zines delivered by email is great method of building trust in your affiliate products and services. As a publisher, you send out newsletters to your subscriber in weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. In each issue of your newsletter, you get the chance to talk about your affiliate product or service in different ways highlighting the different uses or features of your product.
But the challenge is to first get the subscribers or website visitors and then to deliver informative content that is different every time. Once you begin to build a mailing list of subscribers, it is fairly easy to keep them.
Installing a subscription box on your affiliate site is definitely worthwhile. Try to customize the subscription box to make it very easy for visitors to sign up your newsletter.
In the process you are establishing a familiarity with your product or service and how it can help your visitors to accomplish their goals. Writing about your product or service does not have to be difficult; the best style of writing these types of articles is in a friendly, conversational tone. You are addressing a specific problem, giving a recommendation to the person that you feel confident will provide the solution for them.
Make yourself contactable
Tell people about yourself through a ‘Contact’ page. Remember that you have to take every opportunity to build trust with your visitors. Make yourself accessible and they will instantly feel more comfortable and more likely to click your affiliate links!
Keep on learning Internet marketing
Stay alert to the Internet technology changes, particularly the affiliate marketing and search engines. Take time and research the different incentive that you can use to persuade your visitors to click your affiliate links.
Review your affiliate marketing website design every six months. Incorporate new design elements on a regular basis, visitors like to see new things, and updating your site regularly will encourage them to come to your site more often.
It is common that first time sellers fail in their first auction. They can just try to set up another auction to sell their products again. But if they fail time and time again without knowing what went wrong, they seriously need to review and check their auctions to identify the possible causes of their ebay failure. Considering the huge number of sellers who run auctions in ebay, there are specific things you need to do, and specific things you should not do to increase your changes of ebay success.
There are a few reasons why ebay auctions fail:
Low product demand
The most common reason is that the product listed for sale in ebay is lack of demand. This problem can be overcome by doing the necessary research to determine what items sell well, and which items should be avoided. Researching on products demand can takes a great deal of time – but in the end, you will find that it is worth spending time on product research.
Incorrect pricing
Your product pricing can be another cause to your ebay failure. No matter what reserve price you set, your opening bid price should never be greater than $50. This is how you will attract potential buyers to place a bid on your auction. Many people come to ebay to search for great deal, if you set your opening bid too high, most people won’t even click the link to read the description for your item. Another pricing problem is lack of research. Before you set your reserve price, you must determine what the item is really worth, and the price similar items have sold for in past eBay auctions.
Poor product description
Another reason of ebay failure is Poorly written product description. Descriptions that contain grammar errors and misspelled words drive people away. Make sure that your description is written well and describe your product exactly. Also have you noticed that some ebay auctions have no product photos included? eBay visitors like to see how the items look like before buying. So auctions that have no product pictures will also keep people away from visiting the auction pages.
Shipping price too high
Moreover, high shipping charges will discourage people place bid on your auctions. Try to find the lowest shipping prices for your bidders. And to make things better, you may think about paying for the shipping fee yourself if it won’t cut into your profits too much. If possible, don't charge handling fees as well.
Offer fast ‘customer service’ for all of your auctions, and ask your buyers to give you feedback. If the items that you sell are exactly you said in your auction, and you offer great customer service, you can expect wonderful feedbacks from buyers – and these feedbacks will strengthen your creditability and reliability that will help a great deal in your future auctions.

There are several kinds of freelance careers you can have. Some people choose to be writers, while others become graphic designers, data entry service providers, account & admin support and web designers. Increasing number of people are discovering the ease of landing virtual work and managing projects online.
Project managers do not choose the best freelancer, as there is no way one can determine who is the best. Winning a bid is more of an elimination process, rather than a selection process. It all boils down to how you market and sell yourself successfully. If you have a winning strategy to market your skills and make all the right moves, you will never have a dearth of projects.
After having made the decision to be a ‘freelancer’, how do you take off? Where do you find the work you are looking for? There are tons of options for you that help you in becoming a free agent. Some are free while others require you to pay a small membership fee. All of them will help you find freelance work.
Sites that list projects
There are several sites that help match employers and freelancers. Employers post details of their requirement and freelancers place their bids, outlining their expertise, how much they would charge for the job, and the turnaround time etc. Some of the best sites are:
www.craigslist.com
www.guru.com
www.elance.com
www.rentacoder.com
www.freelance.com
www.getafreelancer.com
Craigslist
Craigslist is a great place where you find freelance work. Here reputable companies post advertisements, in order to find individuals to do their work. Jobs are posted daily and this is free to join.
Rentacoder and Getafreelancer
Both rentacoder and getafreelancer are free to join and require no fee; however, once you land yourself a project, they take commission from the money earned. You will have to be smart enough to bid slightly higher than you would normally, so that the commission fee is taken care of.
Job Boards that charge
There are several job boards that charge a small fee for the service provided. They have listings for freelance projects. They all work on the same lines as rentacoder etc. The initial amount they charge may be higher, but it could be advantageous if you get plenty of work from those job boards. freelance.com, guru.com, and elance.com are some of the paid memberships.
Getafreelancer also has a gold membership apart from the free membership. You will not have to pay a commission if you join this. Elance offers you an opportunity to auction your professional services to the highest bidders.
Register at these sites. Register at several such sites to increase your chances. Just ensure you don’t take on more than you can handle. Not only registering, you must submit your skills and your resume should be in perfect shape. It must be current and detail your expertise and skills. If you are not good at preparing a resume, take the help of a professional, as you do not get a second chance at making a first impression. Search for projects that fit you and bid for them. There will be many people who are equally qualified that you would be competing with.
Other sites
There are several job boards that you can look at. Every type of freelance career has job boards specific to the subject that always have listings of jobs. You can find lots on the internet if you Google. Even places like www.monster.com sometimes have freelance job listings.

Joining a team
There are several companies that work on creating groups of freelance professionals of different specialties. They screen all the freelance applications and select the best out of them. Companies like www.aquent.com are reputed and have been in this business for many years and can be trusted.
Initially, when setting out to find freelance jobs, it would seem tedious and unending, as you go about biding for various jobs and applying to classified ads. But soon enough, you will find the methods that work best for you and you will learn where you need to concentrate your efforts on.
How to be competitive
Once you have started freelancing and landed yourself jobs, now its time to think of getting projects consistently.
You may get the first projects easily, but further projects depend solely on your skills, experience level, and your ability to complete the project in the time frame given. Being the best competitor on the block is the only way to go. Keep upgrading your skills if required and get additional training if necessary.
Dormancy kills
Never be dormant. Bid on as many projects as you can to stay in the game. Keep searching for projects and bid….search and bid. This is the only way to stay in the competition.
Being Proactive
Help clients with their business issues. Give them ideas to improve their business and profits and cold call them if it helps. Mail promotional postcards to clients. Give annual or seasonal discounts to long-standing clients to show that you appreciate their business.
Understand before bidding
It is always a good idea to wait on your bidding, until some other freelancers place their bids. This enables you to learn the average rate that is being bid.
Ask questions
Nobody likes people who think they know everything, without even understanding the requirement of the person looking to freelance work. Clarify all your doubts
before bidding, and this will create a sense of trust in the person offering the work. They will understand that you are the type of person who will do a detailed job by understanding the subject and that they can count on your for quality work.
Be in the picture
Show off your expertise in your field and be seen. Pitching articles to publications or stories to blogs or the website greatly helps. Submit tutorials to various websites in the field, or you can even write an eBook or report on the subject and promote it online, all the time promoting yourself as a freelancer.
A word of caution though. Wherever you look for freelance work online, there is no way of knowing if the person who is posting the job opportunity is genuine. With experience, you will understand how to segregate the good opportunities from the bad ones.
It will be a cakewalk landing projects if you understand what you are getting into and know how to go about it. Be the best and let others wonder how you do it.
